The old town of Dinkelsbühl
The Hotel Haus Appelberg is located in the historic old town of Dinkelsbühl near the Nördlinger Tor, one of the four old town gates as well as near the Bäuerlinsturm, the landmark of the town of Dinkelsbühl. Within 10 minutes all sights can be reached on foot from the hotel. We are happy to hand out a city map with information at the reception or are available for questions about excursions (whether on foot, by bike, motorcycle or car).
Interesting are also the museums "The House of History Dinkelsbühl" and the "Museum 3.Dimension".
In summer as well as in winter entertaining theater evenings in the probably smallest state theater of Germany are worthwhile.
On various dates, top-class concerts are offered, e.g. by the vocational school for music.
A walk around the historic old town, whether during the day with summer refreshment at the Kneipbecken (5 minutes walk from the hotel) or in the evening illumination is a pleasure. You can keep fit in the natural outdoor swimming pool on the Wörnitz or in the sauna garden of the municipal indoor swimming pool.
The surroundings of Dinkelsbühl
The 9-hole golf course is located at the gates of Dinkelsbühl.
Beautiful bike paths, hiking trails, e.g. to the Mutschach forest as well as to the Radwanger Weiher or past numerous fish ponds round off the sporting offer.
For a longer stay, a day trip to Nördlingen, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Hesselberg, Dennenlohe Castle or the Franconian Lake District is an option.
